Foundation Degrees framework specification

Existing providers of Foundation Degrees (FDs) will be able to review their own offer against what will become the industry standard.  The framework has been developed in consultation with employers, universities, further education colleges, trade associations and professional bodies.  It is designed to guide those involved with the development or review of Fds for the building services engineering sector.

SummitSkills encourages colleges and universities to welcome students from non-academic backgrounds onto FDs, and to offer modules to prepare learners who may not have traditional qualifications such as GCSE or 'O’ level maths.

Recognition that reflects the framework specification

A number of FDs providers have already asked SummitSkills to endorse their foundation degrees and we would like to see a practitioner-owned recognition scheme developed by a network of providers and employers.
