Training Quality Standard: information for training providers
This section is provided to assist training providers in accessing information and guidance to support pre-application self-assessment and if necessary, organisational development processes.
Why is the Training Quality Standard (TQS) important?
The TQS supports several key initiatives:
- the introduction of demand-led funding;
- expansion of the network of National Skills Academies;
- expansion of the Train to Gain programme;
- the Framework for Excellence; and
- the consolidation of the current Quality Assurance Framework.
In addition to supporting these initiatives, achivement of the TQS will lead to valuable recognition from employers and stakeholders that a training provider is responsive and that they have excellence in more than one sector.
