Business expert to share sales secrets in ECA workshop

04 Oct 2011

Small business trades specialist, Chartered Marketer and Amazon number one bestselling business author Dee Blick will share her knowhow with the electrical contracting industry in ECA’s one-day ‘Ultimate Marketing on a Shoestring’ Workshop.

‘Ultimate Marketing on a Shoestring’ aims to show small to medium industry firms how low-cost, powerful and effective marketing communications can transform their business – on the smallest of budgets.

Iain Macdonald, Head of Education & Training at ECA commented: “Many companies are excellent contractors, but we’re often told they feel less adept at selling their services. This Workshop can provide small or medium industry firms with that key marketing knowhow that will enable them to actively promote and grow their businesses.”

The interactive and very practical workshop provides the essentials of marketing, from nailing the basics and avoiding the common mistakes many firms make, to building a brand, identifying the market and learning the secrets of successful sales literature in building sales. All of Dee’s tips are underpinned with small business case studies.

Dee said, “I am thrilled to be working with the ECA; such a respected body, delivering a hefty dose of expert marketing commonsense and marketing tips that really do generate sales to members. I am going to be sharing my inside marketing secrets and tips for business success on a shoestring and bringing my current best seller The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book to life. Exciting times are ahead.”

The ‘Ultimate Marketing on a Shoestring’ Workshop will take place in the autumn and is open to both ECA members and the public. For course details, visit www.eca.co.uk/courses
