SummitSkills linked up with building services engineering professionals recently at Installer Live, the national plumbing, heating and renewables show at the NEC in Birmingham. The Eco Challenge area, sponsored by SummitSkills and the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies, provided stakeholders, employers and installers with the opportunity to improve their knowledge about the latest developments in the sector as the Energy Act becomes law, laying the foundations for the Green Deal to go live in 2012.

ECA switches on new campaign to get women Wired for Success

The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) has today (24 October) launched its Wired for Success: ECA Women into Electrical Contracting campaign. The innovative two-year initiative aims to challenge perceptions and break down the barriers that prevent women – who are currently under-represented in the electrical contracting industry – from entering the sector.
