Manufacture & Sustainability Strategic Adv.Group
About the group
To reflect the growing importance of sustainability, SummitSkills co-ordinates the Manufacture & Sustainability Strategic Advisory Group. The group will link with employers, professional and employer associations and other groups with similar interests. It also aims to link with central, devolved and regional government initiatives and to develop and embrace best practice. Part of its remit is to ensure provision is in place for technical skills training and to examine how manufacturers can become involved in competence and accreditation schemes.
Key Issues
Members have identified a number of key issues, including system design and plumbing, water treatment, power flushing, building regulations and energy efficiency. Addressing the demand for environmental and renewable technologies is also a a key issue for the sector.
