Discounted Training for Environmental Technologies
Discounts on training opportunities are available to employers in the building services engineering sector through the Joint Investment Programme (JIP). The discounted training will enable installers of environmental technologies to reach standards required to qualify for registration with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
What is the Joint Investment Programme?
The programme offers employers up to 50% off their training costs, which will provide affordable access to new skills to meet industry-specific competence requirements. All courses have to be completed by July 2012 to take advantage of the discounted training available through this scheme.
Where can I train?
To qualify, trainees must already have reached NVQ Diploma Level 2 in plumbing or NVQ Diploma Level 3 in electrical installations. There are a number of training providers in England offering accreditated training courses, the qualifications covered by this funding are:
