SummitSkills is seeking talented people from building services engineering to become ambassadors to help potential new recruits discover the excellent career opportunities our sector can offer.
Ambassadors are highly respected individuals already working within the sector. They volunteer to share their knowledge and experience to encourage more young people to consider careers in building services engineering, and can come from any level from craft technician through to manager.
Supported by SummitSkills at a variety of events such as school presentations, careers fairs, open days and site visits, ambassadors engage with small groups of young people to promote potential career opportunities in our sector.
A real-life perspective of the work of ambassadors in the sector is profiled here in a case study.
SummitSkills works in partnership with STEMNET (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network), the national organisation promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), who have more than 28,000 registered ambassadors nationally across all sectors. Our ambassadors brochure can tell you more about the scheme. This is also available as a Welsh language version.
If you think you've got what it takes and would like to get involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone SummitSkills on 01908 303960 for further details.
