National Training Awards 2010
Industry leaders, employers, training providers and sponsors gathered at the British Library on Wednesday 17 March to celebrate talented individuals in the building services engineering sector.
The National Training Awards gala is unique in the sector, ranging across all building services engineering industries. Individual awards celebrate high achievement in operative, technical and management categories.
With green issues to the fore, our special guest speaker, Ben Law, woodsman and environmental expert, inspired guests with his vision of sustainable living at his home in Prickly Nut Wood. Ian Livsey, SummitSkills Chair presented his discretionary award in recognition of environmental excellence, as well as announcing the exciting news that SummitSkills had won the bid to operate a new National Skills Academy for green skills in building services engineering.
Triumphant WorldSkills medal winners were presented with the Chair's discretionary awards in recognition of outstanding performance at WorldSkills 2009 in Calgary. In his videoclip, Kevin Brennan MP commended Richard Sagar and Christopher Lonsdale for putting the UK's building services engineering on the world map.
