The Alliance of Sector Skills Councils

National Training Awards 2009

The 2009 National Training Awards celebrated the achievements of the building services engineering sector's finest talent at a ceremony hosted at the British Library in London.

Skilled apprentices, engineers and management took to the stage in front of employers, college representatives and industry leaders in recognition of their hard work and commitment to high standards.

Nigel Vardy, British record-breaking mountaineer and electrical engineer gave an exhilarating motivational speech, illustrated by breathtaking pictures of his exploits.  We were also delighted to welcome Lord Young, who congratulated winners, and described the importance of skills and development for the sector.
